• Mark Lance Pender – Chief Development Officer: Involved in various real estate development, energy, and entrepreneurial projects over the last 30 years. Having graduated from UCLA with a BS in Business Economics, Mr. Pender began his career on the transactional/brokerage side of the real estate business with Ashwill-Burke and Industrial Commercial Properties (ICP). As a top producer at both firms he went on to found Pender Properties, developing over one million square feet of business parks and logistic centers (Fed-Ex), while securing entitlements for the development of an additional five million square feet of commercial projects. Mr. Pender’s real estate investments include large-scale residential developments and mobile home park conversions. Mr. Pender recently turned to aquaculture as a primary focus with developments in Mexico, Chile, and Portugal, which has inspired Mr. Pender to develop multiple land-based sustainable seafood farms in America, with the first in Monterey Bay, California. The ability to secure necessary ocean front land, secure entitlements, design facilities, and precisely control environmental habitat for varying marine species provides a long-term solution to food security and addresses the continually increasing global demand for high quality fish.
